Bought a 3000 and was so impressed I then bought a 4000 model.
What I like about this reel, quite apart that it oozes quality and all the other good things referred to by others is that when I’m sitting by the pond, if I’m not catching, they are real things of beauty to sit and admire!

Excellent quality reel. Strong, smooth operation. Line lay on spool very good plus the reel comes with two spools.
My motivation to buy the CS7 was the slightly lower gearing than my CS10 (brilliant reel). The reason being I fish for barbel on the float, some of which need a bit of persuasion and the lower gearing of 5.2:1 on the CS7, Vs 6.2:1 on the CS10 gives me a bit more cranking power. The CS10 5000 has the lower gear ratio but I wanted to stick with a 4000 size reel to balance my CR10 14ft #4 which is the perfect tool for trotting for barbel especially when bigger specimens are on the cards.
I am pleased to say, within half an hour of the first cast, of the session, with this reel I landed my first barbel and followed it up with seven more!
The reel was loaded with 8lb BS Edge Tackle Float Mono.
Firstly just received my new CS7 reel simple order form and brilliant standard delivery, used 5/7/25 on local mixed fishery, paired with a CS10#1 11ft feeder rod so well balanced using flatbed pellet feeder caught carp to 6b, bream to 4lb , F1s and lots of silvers total approx 60lb in 8 hours just so smooth brilliant drag system and so well engineered , once again well done to the Cadence team for another brilliant product that marries well with my other Cadence rods and reels, Terence Rymer
