Cadence CS5 Match Fishing Reel

Very good product and sales team most helpful, offering a fantastic deal.

Received delivery of my 2 reels and have to say what a lovely reel. Very smooth in operation, built well and excellent value for money. I can’t fault the quality. Also I have to comment on the service provided which was excellent and my order was processed and delivered promptly.

Got the CS5 3000 and 4000 reels on the buy one get one free offer. Have to say these are lovely bits of kit and are solidly constructed. Would not hesitate to recommend cadence products to others, and also Edge tackle needs a mention.

I Have recently purchased 2 new reels with the BOGOF Deal
The 4000 and 3000 CS5 series
I Can honestly say that these reels are a "TOP QUALITY PRODUCT" Great design/looks and features you would expect in higher priced models.
Fantastic Value, Well Done Cadence
John

Just bought the cs5 3000 reel on the bogof deal, ive not used them yet ,but they look and feel great

I bought two of the reels recently on the Cadence buy one get one free offer. I have just recently taken up fishing again after 25 years away. I am an older angler and I was told about these reels from a friend so I went on the site and purchased the CS5 3000 and 4000 reels. I use the 3000 filled with 4lb line for float and the 4000 with 8lb for feeder fishing.
I normally fish the local canal or small lakes nearby, and have also used them at a commercial fishery nearby. I am really impressed with the quality of these reels, they are well made, feel very smooth and line lay is good, they also come with a spare spool. I couldn’t find any negative points.
Even if I had paid the full price for the reels I would feel it was a worthy investment, so if you can take advantage of any of the BOGOF offers you will get a great reel at a bargain price.
I am going to be upgrading my old rods next so where better to look than on the Cadence website.

I have just purchased 2 more CS5'S as soon as I saw the BOGOF deal was on, I have a CS5 3000 + 4000 for almost 10 years without a single problem, I use the 3000 for waggler work and the 4000 for bomb work, Great cranking power and very fast retreat, love em

Received my BOGOF offer on the CS5 4000 reels. Too be honest, I thought they would be bigger as a 4000. But, absolutely no problem with the reel and the offer is great value for money. I'm becoming quite a fan of Cadence equipment.

Excellent reel brought on a deal amazing value for money, customer service was excellent when I had made a mistake with ordering would recommend cadence to anyone

Owning a few Cadence reels I was tempted by a bogof deal on the CS5, being a lower spec model I expected a good reel but obviously not as good as the upper range offerings.
Oh how I was wrong, yes it’s a base model but that’s only due to the resin body, everything else inside is by feel every bit as good as the CS7 & 10. It’s smooth quiet and a super sweet drag with no tight spots.
I’ll be adding more to my collection once I’ve decided which Cadence rod I fancy next __

Bought two 4000 on bogof deal, £35 per reel for this quality.amazing

I recently received my Cadence reels but not yet had chance to fish with them. I purchased them in a BOGOF deal – 1 x CS5 3000 plus 1 x CS5 4000. First impressions are very good, they seem well made, extremely smooth running(similar to my Shimano 6000). Line lay is excellent – the best ever. My first experience with Cadence products, now encouraged to look more closely at Cadence rods and poles.

I already have a CS8 and CS10 reel and several cadence rods. I bought 2 x CS5 reels for a separate river leave in the car set up . Very impressed by the quality of the reels - can't go wrong really. As ever, great customer service from Martine. Thank you

Bought a 3000 and 4000 on the bogof deal. Fantastic looking reels which feel very smooth. Line lay excellent. Can't wait to get these on the bank.

I've recently purchased 2 of these, and they are excellent, look good, work well, and l appreciate getting a spare spall with the reels. I've purchased reels and rods in the past and it really is great quality for such reasonable prices, well done James and Co.

For short range feeder fishing up to 40m and for all my waggler/slider work this is my go to reel.

It’s so smooth and unbelievable value for money! And a spare spool as standard too.

When you consider other brands products are nearly 3 to 4 times its price, it’s a no brainer.

Cadence rods & reels are top products backed up with good old fashioned personal service

Well done James & Martine and everyone at Cadence.

Great product, great price can’t fault this reel.

Cant fault them for the money. Great line lay

I do a lot of trotting on rivers and have used many top of the range reels over the years this is right up there with the best of them, really smooth retrieve and line lay is excellent all for a fraction of the price of the high end reels would highly recommend.

Bought 2 of the 4000 to complement the 2x 3000's I had bought with the Combo deals. Can't fault the smoothness of the reel and the drag is excellent. As others have already mentioned, these reels are exceptional value for money and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. Loaded the 3000's with 4lb for canal work and the 4000's with 6lb for light-ish feeder work. Even the 3000 reels can handle double figure carp when necessary (no trouuble landing a 15lb Common), these are quality bits of engineering.

Just bought a CS5 at the Evesham fishing festival and got a second reel free. I have to admit to being a bit of a tackle snob and usually buy far more expensive Daiwa models. Not any more. This is a fanastic reel for the money and the build quality is exceptional. The Cadance reps were very helpful and have a real passion for the equipment on show. My next reel will be the CS10 an absolutely stunning reel.

Cadence tackle is quality in every department you can tell that an angler James robins has been involved in the design of the rods and reels as I purchased 11’ feeder #1 superb does exactly what it says on the tin can’t wait to use my 14’ float rod#3 on rivers for chub and barbel and all affordabley priced . Very nice tackle

“Just got a CS 5 reel in the 3000 size ,first impressions are very good,. Very smooth operation, bail arm closes firmly and the reel seems well constructed and well finished. I bought it in a combo package with a 9 ft CR 10 feeder rod ,thanks James. The reel suits the rod very well. Can’t wait to spool it up and give the pair a bank side test.

Just unpacked a CS 5 reel in 3000 size . First impression is that it a very well built reel ,very smooth winding and good operation of the bail arm. The reel is well finished and looks much more expensive than it is . A real bonus was I bought it in a combo package with a 9 ft CR 10 feeder rod, thanks James. The reel feels spot on on the rod. Not spooled up yet but hope to try out the pair very soon. In conclusion I am very satisfied with both items, don’t let the low price bracket put you off because this reel can live alongside more expensive reels . A very satisfied customer.

I'm just getting back into fishing after about 6 years out, i was a regular open match angler and only ever used daiwa reels for my fishing back then.
I had heard a lot of good things about cadence products so thought I would take the plunge.
I bought 2 of the 4000 sized cs5 reels after a brief chat the a cadence rep.
A 4000 cadence reel is roughly the same size a a 3012 daiwa model and at £49.99 they are a little cheaper than say a daiwa whisker 3012, which is one of the reels i had previously.
The cs5 is so much smoother than the daiwa whisker, in fact i would say its just as smooth as a daiwa tdm reel, which is about double the price.
I'm so impressed with the reels i will be ordering another 2.
The only one down side i would say its that i would have liked to see the spare spool be aluminium as well, not composite but as my rods will usually be set up ready to fish, i don't think I'll be swapping spools very often anyway, so it's not a major issue.
In conclusion, if you are after a nice compact, smooth reel, for £49.99 you can't go far wrong with a cs5 (unless you are a brand snob who only buys daiwa, preston or shimano).

The build quality of these reels are fantastic. Feels like it should be a lot more money than it actually is. Smooth drag capable of handling any fighting fish . They also look the part with a great finish. Customer service from Cadence is outstanding. Very happy with the CS 5

You've got to be kidding me! I already have one of the CS10 reels, which I thought was the best value for money reel out there, worth far, far more than the asking price and a quality piece of kit. So when it comes to getting reels for my son I just had to turn to Cadence, but obviously being tight I'm not going to buy him a CS10 right!!!
So then I get an email from Cadence saying buy one get one free of the CS 5 reels, so a no-brainer £50 for two quality reels.
Well they've arrived and I have just put line on the spools. Superb line lay with the help of a little washer (supplied), great spin, solid as a rock, lovely size faultless imho. I got one each of the 4000 and 3000. Would have been happy with one of these quality reels for £50, but two -happy days.

Can't beat it unless of course they do the same offer on the CS10????

James put me onto these reels last year, they are soundly built and a perfect size for all running line work. They perform, in my opinion, on par with reels carrying a much higher price tag. The retreve ratio on these reels is such that you don’t waste time on winding in from the bottom of the swim but you won’t spin fish off by being to aggressive. You can just tell they’ve thought about these reels during the testing & production phase.
I’m so impressed with them, I’ve just purchased another 2!

In a word SUPERB

If the quality of these mid range priced reels is anything to go by the CS 10 must be out of this world.........

other manufactures be afraid very afraid
