Having watched all your demo programmes, particularly relating to longer rods, I purchased the 18 foot#1 and it is everything I expected. Its forgiving nature allowed bigger fish to be played with confidence. In a word "quality". Can I just add, your demos are delivered in a manner which hold interest, always informative and with a down to earth style. Your products are enhanced by your style.
Great product CR10 18ft no'1 used the rod for the first time on the river weaver, action is great well balanced with 4000 reel. Can't wait for the next outing.
Having purchased the CR10 no 2 at 18ft I at last had an opportunity to try it for the first time today on the river Wye on the Belmont stretch in Hereford town centre, fishing a 10g bolo in mid river with a depth of 12ft the rod coped admirably.I fished for approximately 7hrs and my arm never tired 90lb of chub came to the net and I am so glad I purchased this rod.
Although I bought this rod 18ft #1 earlier this year I never got to fish the river with it due to unsuitable condition but I managed to spend a thoroughly enjoyable 4 hours with on the River Derwent at Howsham on Sunday
Those that know the Derwent will be aware that some pegs are easily 16ft deep, every long rod I’ve used in the past has ended up on the bank within an hour, this rod stayed in my hand for the full session, an angler who walked up had a go with it ‘ best balanced long rod I’ve every used in 30 odd years of fishing the Derwent ‘ then the obligatory “ HOW MUCH !! “ which I’ve come to expect if I loan any of my Cadence rods to others, at present the Derwent is producing mainly tiny dace and even at 14 ft deep with a 4gram crowquill avon float I was hitting the tiny fish and missing very few bites ( can’t wait to hook a decent fish on it but I don’t foresee any issues whatsoever )
