Recommended Add-Ons

When you have a Cadence twin tip specimen rod in your armoury you have one of the most versatile bits of kit you will ever own. Obviously, the decision of what test curve you are going to buy will be dictated by the species and the venue you are fishing but whether you are wanting to fish for roach, bream, tench or carp in still waters or the likes of barbel and chub on rivers there is a rod in this range that will see the job done. All the rods have a delightful through action on the one piece top which makes for the perfect ledgering rod but also makes a lovely float rod for stillwater and rivers. Then there is the second top to the rod which has two push-in tips making a fabulous tip rod for the likes of bream on stillwaters and roach and chub on rivers. These really are the next generation in Specimen twin tips rods with the added advantaged of looking just as good as they perform.

  • High modulus carbon blank creates a powerful and robust blank design with progressive action.
  • Supplied with 2 x top sections: 1 x Avon, 1 x quiver
  • Fuji K-Series Alconite tangle-free guides throughout.
  • Fuji DPS Reel seat.
  • Top-quality AAA Cork handle.
  • High visibility glazed white tip.
  • Designed to be used with both braid and mono reel lines.

Ordered at Christmas, excellent delivery service with no hassle. I bought these rods in the BOGOF deal which was amazing. Opening of the rods revealed an outstanding sleek, light and beautiful crafted rod, comes with 2 and 3 oz tips making it ideal for the kind of fishing which I want to do. Whilst there have been no "big" catches to report the fun I have had with chub and trout have given me confidence in the rods to have the ability to cope with most situations. Excellent product and great design, well done to the Cadence team and Des Taylor for the outstanding products. Thank you.

I have a 12ft specimen rod 1.5tc, has a great all through action, can cast upto 5 ounce leads. Great rod for the river. Really impressed with this rod. Great colour and a good design. Thanks to the team and Des Taylor.

Having used several different rods over the years, and been pleased with some and disappointed with others, I have been very impressed with the two examples that Cadence have recently supplied me with: The Specimen 12ft 1lb TC and the 11ft 1.5lb TC.
Both come with come with twin tips -an Avon and a Quiver- both are well made with full cork handles and two quiver tips, 2oz and 3oz. (These are white and visible in low light)
The rods come in a cloth bag and rod tube when ordering on line.
Im very impressed and pleased with them. IMHO the only downside is that the 12ft 1lb TC doesn't come with a 1oz tip, other than that SUPERB!!!

I have the 1.5lb been using it on the Wye and have been very impressed with the ease it has handled. Cracking rod.

I’ve got the 1lb version of this rod and it’s an absolute gem.
An anglers rod of that there is no doubt.
Copes with anything and is perfect for tench, bream, chub and barbel of a certain size.
It’s absolutely perfect!

My favourite rod when roving for barbel and chub. The twin tip gives you two rods in one. The 1.25lb top is great for when the river is carrying a bit more water or the barbel are feeding. Switching to the quiver tip with the choice of 2 or 3oz tips really helps with those crafty chub bites. It'll gladly cast out a decent weight and works well with braid and shockleaders when needed. The finish and fittings are the usual top quality you come to expect from Cadence. Great piece of kit.

Got the 1lb version of this rod with a CS10 reel a couple of weeks ago, and have used it twice so far. It's a beautiful rod, looks great with slim bland and full cork handle and handles itself well where I've been using it so far for crucian/hybrids of 3_ - 4lb
