Very fast delivery and extremely well packaged. Haven't used it in anger yet but giving it a waggle in my garden I was impressed by its slim and very light blank and superb finish. Can't wait to use it.
I bought this rod because I wanted a bit more power (than my very light 13ft match rod) for coping with tench in my local weedy canal and for handling carp into double figures. I have not used yet, but the rod is beautiful and looks to be perfect for my needs.
Firstly the customer service received from Cadence and James was really first rate!
I wanted a silvers waggler rod for use on canals and natural lakes so bought the 12ft #1 rod. First used last night and I must say I was astounded from first cast. Its so light and balanced with a 3000 size reel and could be easily held all session without the use of a rod rest.
Fishing for roach, skimmers and hybrids and the canal, i didnt miss a bite all evening and set the hook perfectly every strike. Fishing the canals local to me it might be a 1oz roach or a 3lbs hybrid or a larger bream so a swift strike followed by quickly getting the fish away from far bank vegetation and shoal is so important. The tip is so responsive and soft so didnt bump a fish all evening, but then lower down the blank it had so much to quickly cushion and subdue the larger hybrids. Compared to my previous rod used for this purpose, it was really night and day.
So impressed, next up fishing shallow for roach and rudd at an estate lake with a 25-35 yard chuck. I can't wait to use this rod!
Full marks Cadence, a serious amount of rod for the money!!
CR10 12ft #2. What a stunning piece of kit. I already owned a few Cadence Reels, and I love em, but the rod is far superior than i expected. It oozes qualty. I have matched the rod with a CS5 and 0.14mm Stroft ABR mainline. It is at home chucking 3BB and 4BB wagglers for fine presentation for silvers and Skimmers whilst still being able to handle mid size Carp on light tackle, fished through the water.
It feels like a throwback to the traditional waggler rods back in the day , but far more refined. There is a big difference between this rod and the plethora of pellet waggler rods in today's market.
Use the 12 ft #1. For the second time this week on a silver session, And landed a double figure mirror carp,I was on 0. 12 bottom 3.5lb and size 16 MXC5 Hook, I can honestly say without this Rod I would not Have Landed the fish, It absorbed all the lunges, What a fantastic rod.
