I asked for advise as to what rod to use feeder fishing for medium to odd large carp
My local is only 16 metres wide with lily pads and other snags, The carp range from 3 to 4 lb up to near 20 lb
James advised the 10 ft specimen
So I bought Wednesday afternoon and it arrived Thursday afternoon, What service !
I now own both power poles ,The 1000 and the 800, a 10ft number 3 match rod and this new addition finally finishes my arsenal
I’m really looking forward to using my absolutely brilliant Cadence tackle
seen these rods on social media instantly got my attention via cadence doing a 10 ft duel tip model bought a pair to use on method feeders i was so impressed with the quality i have purchased a 3 rd rod to use as a float rod to compliment the pair in a made up 3 rod set up delivered in less than 3 days in separate boxes inside the rods placed in plastic rod tubes in a manufactures cloth bag what more can you ask for handle the tench carp and bream that i fish for ranging in the 5lb to 12lb bracket with no problem at all fantastic action and forgiving the lunges of the bigger carp and they look the business on the bank i am well impressed with the quality credit to cadence.
I recently purchased the 10ft Specimen rod/4000 reel combo the set up is perfectly balanced and playing barbel and Chub is a dream. Definitely my go to rod in the tighter swims, bags of power helping me net some decent Barbel in some very snagy swims. The ability to fish the tips is also an added bonus . The customer service with cadence second to none.
This rod has transformed my fishing. The flexibility of having a normal tip and quiver tips in one compact set up has enabled me to rove the rivers & lakes with confidence that I can cope with any situation.
This was my first Cadence rod, the ordering process was smooth and James answered a few questions I had quickly. Order Placed!!
A few days later the rod arrived I eagerly opened the package and before I had even opened it I was impressed with the quality of the packaging especially the plastic tube it came in along with a quality rod bag!!
First impressions were very impressive the blank was immaculate I especially liked the Fuji rings and the colour of the blank just took me back 45 years to the fibreglass rods of the day but without the weight.
I have used the rod for chub & barbel on the river and the flexibility of changing tops is very useful and means only one rod for both jobs. The action is progressive but has power lower down and to date has landed a 18 1/2lb common on 6lb line with no issues.
My only regret I wish I'd gone for the rod & reel combo
