  • Rigid D shaped aluminium frames
  • 7mm x 9mm aluminium
  • 4mm ‘square’ mesh
  • Relatively shallow net depth
  • Lightweight but strong spreader blocks
  • Stainless Steel threads
  • Dual screws both sides to provide rigidity
  • 35cm (14” and 40cm (16”)
  • Black mesh
  • Fabric rims allow drainage

The smallest and lightest of the Edge landing net heads. Deliberately made with silvers in mind and netting & unhooking quickly – although you may be surprised as to what will fit into one as these are also great for many F1’s. At the end of a long landing net handle – especially something like 4.0m - these nets do not add as much weight as many others and make netting easier & quicker. Once safely in the net these are not too deep as some so that you have to bend right over so far to get hold of the fish & unhook it. This may seem a little irrelevant to some but in a match situation, and when netting lots of fish, time saved matters. Also the hot dyed ‘set’ mesh makes it less likely for microbarbed hooks to get stuck and even if one does it can be easier to get back out.

Needed some new match landing nets, this was one of my purchases.
Great quality net which seemed to be a lot quicker through the water when landing fish quickly than my last ones.
Lightweight frame and quality connection to my landing net pole.
Very pleased.

A great quality net purchased for use whip fishing for silvers. The net is ideal for the larger fish encountered. The net is competitively priced.

Both nets seem sturdy spreader blocks seem ok .the specimen one will take the most hammer on the severn so with being so new its difficult to write a reveiw .say in three months a more honest opinion may be appropriate. See how the stack up against diawa and prestons etc
