Cadence CS10 3000 Match Reel

Great value reel and 2 spare spools perfect for my float fishing as it is lightweight and smooth running -highly recommended.

I bought two of these reels at the end of 2025 ready for use in the coming Spring. I already had a pair of the excellent CS10 4000 reels but wanted a lighter reel for all day lake waggler fishing and trotting. I can't be more pleased. The 3000 is beautifully finished and ideal for use with my light float rod. As with all the tackle I have bought from Cadence I am impressed by the thought and design behind the products and the inclusion of a double handle maks them out as a five star item.

I bought the 3000 as I own a 4000 model which I really like , both reels so strong , balanced and smooth clutch , used my 3000 with my cadence 11’ # 2 For the 1st time catching carp to 9lb on .12 hook lengths both performed excellent , quality product

I recently bought a CS10 3000 after quite a bit of research. (I originally intended buying a well known reel at twice the price). I've fished with it a couple of times now and love it. It's light, beautifully made and incredibly smooth. I particularly like the shallow spool (no more faffing around with backing line), retrieval rate and sensitive drag. It's just the perfect reel on my 9ft feeder rod and I am about to buy at least one CS10 4000 for other rods. Given all the features, the build quality, the spare spools, double handle option I think this reel is the best value out there.

Just bought a CS10 reel to go with a cadence 10ft feeder rod. Quality is as expected having read lots of positve reviews. Was also encouraged to buy because of the excellent customer service I received from James in replacing FOC a part on a CS8 reel I'd purchased several years ago.

What can I add to the long list of reviews and happy anglers?

The CS10 3000 is a light, smooth and surprisingly powerful reel for its size. It is perfectly portioned and a dream to use for float work and light to medium feeder.

I have several of them for multi-rod setups on the River Avon and the Gloucester Canal to name a few venues.

You will not find a better reel at this price point or by paying considerably more. I have never had an issue with these reels.

I bought this reel to marry up with the Cadence 11ft #1 feeder rod (which deserves a review on its own). The #1 is a very light rod, and to my mind the 3000 reel balances it far better than the next size up. So, the 3000 reel, well, you get quite a package for your money. Three top quality alloy shallow spools (no skimping with plastic makeweights) and a double handle included, which to me is essential for feeder fishing as it is so much easier to 'set' the tip. The shallow spools are perfect as they require no backing if you purchase your line in 150m spools in the normal diameters for tip fishing. What also impressed me is the engineering quality of the reel - there is no play at all which makes it very positive and easy to make micro adjustments when feeder fishing. Another bonus is the retrieve rate - it is very fast -appreciably quicker than my old faithful Daiwa Ninja. The 3000 is a very light reel but built like a brick outhouse. I'm expecting to get years of use from it. In a nutshell you get a massive bang for your buck with this reel. I'm hugely impressed.

A joy to use this reel. Love the fact you get 3 shallow match spools. I have found with other reels with a deeper spool a nightmare to pack out, match spools are much easier.
My plan is to have a floating and sinking mono, and braid on the 3rd spool. This will cover all forms of fishing I will do with this brilliant reel.

I already have one, they are so good I bought another, just an excellent reel. Great value for the quality and number of spools and handle options. A no brainier TBH.

Having already tried the cs6 in the 3 and 4000 sizes and been extremely impressed, i plumbed for a 4000 cs10 , the cs6s are brilliant reels (and the bogof offer of 60 for the pair made them the deal of the year ) the cs10 blows them away.. best reel I've ever had, love it..

Super quick delivery. I bought the CS10 3000. Very impressed with design and weight of the reel. Super smooth drag system. Also came with two extra shallow (my preferred size) and a double handle should I wish to change. A great value high quality reel.

I’ve three 3000 CS10s and a 4000 CS10, due to the number of spare spools with each, I’m able to interchange from my also purchased wand, feeder and match waggler rods. All are outstanding !
I will not be looking anywhere else in the furniture. Backside friends with TDRs are shocked with the quality, spare spools, choice of handles, line lay, drag and also thought the removable shells ( if required ) on the spools was a brilliant idea. I think they feel a little hard done bye.

Just received my 4000 reel and though I’m yet to use it I can say it looks and feels amazing. Even came with two spare spools and double handle. I can honestly say I’m now a cadence convert .

Been using this reel for a year on both river and commercial never let me down .Teamed up with the 16ft match rod on the river superb hardly missed a bite and no bump offs

After only one shortish trip I am impressed with the CS10 5000. Not tested the drag system on a big Barbel yet but feel it will deliver. Fishing with 100g feeders and playing nice river bream I felt after a few casts and fish that I felt at ease. I like the braid 'space saver' spools. I will check out the extra distance I can get from them when attached to my 14' Power feeder soon.

If you are thinking of buying this reel don’t hesitate absolute quality for the price.
Comes complete with two spare spools and the option of a double handle.
The reel itself is very smooth and robust and is well balanced for the Cadence match rod which I’ve bought.

Bought the Cs10 4000 reel for my 11ft pellet rod, so I loaded it with 6lb line and went to meadowland fishery where the fish run quite big.
Now the day started slowly on the waggler, but the fish came steadily and the reel performed superbly.
The drag was silky smooth, and never felt like it was going to let me down.
The reel felt very robust and the cranking was effortless.
All in all a excellent reel at a excellent price, well done to cadence.
I will be adding another to my fishing armoury and have already ordered the 5000 feeder reel.

I have both the 4000 and 3000 CS10 reels and they absolutely sold me on using Cadence reels for the foreseeable future.

The reels truly are excellent value for money, I've had absolutely no issues with line lay on the spools and the reels are silky smooth.

The drag has been exceptional when handling larger fish on commercials.

I've found that my 3000's match well when waggler fishing, and as you'd expect the 4000 is more suited to the heavier work with a feeder.

Spare spools always seem to be readily available and I've already purchased an additional 3 spools for my 3000 reels.

Will certainly be adding another one or two of these to my armory once they are back in stock, but may even look at a CS8 or CS7 as they are seemingly excellent pieces of kit for comparative prices.

The slick visual design of the reel is pretty nice as well!

The CS10 4000 reels are my favourite reels for river float fishing and I’ve used them extensively for over two years. I like the 4000 size as they are very light and I feel the larger spool allows line to peel off the reel with less resistance than a smaller sized spool. This lack of resistance coupled with an excellent line lay really helps when fishing delicate floats for shy biting fish. I like to play fish mainly with the backwind and use the clutch as extra security when bigger fish like barbel and chub are close to the net. The anti-reverse lever is very easy to locate and the clutch is sensitive, easy to adjust and very reliable. The bail arm flicks over effortlessly for those who like to wind it closed on the strike. Lovely reels at a bargain price!

15 years retail experience for Used Tackle so I have seen a lot of reels. These reels are stunning !! superb line lay, very smooth oscillation, superb drag system. Bought the 3000 version so complement my 10 ft rods perfectly.

Got two cs10 4000 reels at a promotion night in maghull been using one on 11ft on 1 rod for my short tip fishing on carr mill. What can I say rod perfect reel superb well made very smooth and plenty of power won a match with them at the weekend. Have put the uther reel on my 15ft float rod used it last week on the ribble fishing the stick float excellent the bail arm is so quick to collect the line on the strike am seriously considering buying two more ,plus thinking of replacing my 3 shamarnos I use for my medum distance feeder fishing with the cs10 5ooo

I have waited to give my review on the cs10 4000 reel as I wanted to see if it stood the test of time.Ive used this now for nearly two years so can give it the credit it deserved.
Opened the box and was surprised that it came with spare spool.
Stunning looking reel it’s still as tight as day I received it bearings show no sign of wearing or any wobbly handle.
The bail arm still snaps over like a mousetrap.
I have used this on all my float fishing and
Short range feeder work it still feels solid.
Highly recommend and don’t think there is a reel out there for under 100quid that will come anywhere near the quality of the cs10 range.
Extra spare spools are available as is the cs double handle so worth bearing in mind when ordering

Purchased this for a 12 ft feeder I have, after using the CS7 3000 reel for float work for many months. The drag on the CS10 is perfect both very smooth and controlled. The reel feels very smooth when reeling in both with and without a fish. My reel is loaded with both 4 and 8 lb line. And it sits on the spool perfectly.

Absolute bargain of a reel. I purchased a 3000 and 4000 version to complement a feeder and waggler rod
Light but powerful with a super smooth drag. The drag system is quite quick, meaning it only takes 2 or 3 clicks to go from letting the fish run to being able to give the fish some stick!

What can I say?
As good as any brand double the price tag, light, great line lay in the spools,great gearing, really cheap spare spool price and loads of winding power when needed.
