Cadence CR10 13ft Match Rod

I fish the middle severn Leighton down to bewdley . I already bought a cr10no2 float rod off you it’s fine for dace chub but it doesn’t have the backbone to pull barbel out of snags 🤣so i bought the no3 and it’s brilliant especially when fishing next to snags I can confidently hold the fish with out giving it an inch to get in the snag really impressed 👍🏻I’ve also bought a cr10 no3 feeder rod but with river so low I haven’t used it yet 👍🏻

By far the lightest rod I have ever used, had great fun using it and had some lovely fish being Bream/ tench both to 4lbs, maybe should have got the number 2 rod but still very very pleased. The service was second to none I ordered quite early one morning and received the rod next with enough time to get a couple of hours in before dark. Highly recommend the company and the product

Excellent rod had nearly 30’lb silvers on it yesterday at local lake each fish was a pleasure to play it on this rod . I am a cadence man now won’t go anywhere else now thanks

It had been a long time since I'd fished with a match rod, and I chose this one because it suited my fishing style.
The packaging is really perfect, the rod is perfectly protected (plastic tube, very sturdy cardboard box). I discovered a beautiful rod ,built with components quality (Fuji guides, Fuji reel seat, quality cork). This rod is very pleasant to use for fishing, she's light, smooth and well balanced. Beautiful action, it's a real pleasure to catch big roach and breams, I hope to catch tench and maybee carp next season. (sorry if my English is not good).

Pour les Français qui ne connaissent pas Cadence, sachez que leurs produits sont vraiment de grande qualité avec un rapport qualité prix incroyable, on est là dans le haut de gamme (anneaux et porte moulinet Fuji, liège de premier choix, montage des éléments parfait) et j'ai pris cette canne pour me remettre à la pêche à l'anglaise que je pratiquais il y a 20 ans. Cette canne est très agréable à utiliser, légère, bien équilibrée, souple et avec une superbe action sur de beaux poissons. De plus la gamme est très large, en taille et puissance, adaptée à des conditions de pêche variées, on y trouve forcément le produit dont on a besoin.

This is now my third purchase of a Cadence rod and every one I am 100% satisfied with. I bought the 13ft # 2 for fishing a mixed fishery containing roach, rudd and tench and it handles the tench as well as being a great rod for the smaller species. The finish is superb in every aspect and I need not have worried about buying without handling first because these rods do exactly as the publicity states with the YouTube videos being helpful.
Cadence are definitely my "go to" brand along with Edge Tackle for my monofilament lines which go on my Cadence reels.
The only minor niggle was the carrier sending my parcel to Preston not Peterborough delaying its arrival but that is out of Canence's control. I suspect a simple keyboard error in the postcode (PR vs PE).

I now own two of these 13 footers, as well as numerous other rods by Cadence. They have become my go to waggler rods for most of my roach, dace and skimmer fishing.
I own a number of rods at various price points, by most of the major manufacturers in the fishing tackle industry. You can give them all a waggle in the garden, and they all feel good. However it’s when you actually start fishing with the cadence you realise how good they are. Cadence have got the blanks just right and they have not compromised on the guides and reel fitting, which are top quality Fuji. They have spent the money on the bits that matter in a fishing Rod
The Cadence price point puts these rods way out in front of the competitions rods in a similar price bracket. They should be given serious consideration even if you’re in the fortunate position money being no object.

The venue I have been fishing over the winter months , Docklow Pools in Herefordshire , has been responding well to sweetcorn fished on the deck via a waggler at 20 to 35 m out. The typical depth is 5/6 feet. I purchased the CR10 [2] at 13 feet as needed a longer rod as you have to strike at any movement on the float. This rod , coupled with the CS3000 reel and 4 lbs mainline , has proved perfect for the job. There cannot be a more enjoyable way to fish ! You need a forgiving rod on the strike as there might be a 10 lbs carp on the end. Great rod and reel. My first Cadance order; it will not be my last !

I purchased a CR10 13ft match #2 a year ago. I concede I was nervous buying blind, but the rod has been fantastic. I paired it with a CS10 4000 reel, which I think balances the rod better than a smaller reel.
It has a quick pick up for fast biting silvers as well as a forgiving action for when you hook a larger fish.
I generally use this for roving with a stick float where you can catch anything from tiny dace to a 4lb chub in a snaggy swim. I'm consistently surprised how larger fish are subdued so easily on relatively light end tackle. On the occasions that I fish for Roach on a local commercial, carp to 20lb have been landed much quicker than they should be.

Bought the 13 #2 to complement a 15ft acolyte, but wanted something less tippy with a little more back bone. Was pointed to the #2 by James as the best option that would fit with my needs and the Acolyte to cover stick and waggler float use in various swims and locations.
When it arrived I was taken back by the finish the thinness and lightweight with what seemed a good action, and I thought the Acolyte was a good bit of kit!.

First outing on the river confirmed what I thought, a delight to use, great action, accounting for around 10 lb of dace with very few bump offs and a trout pushing 5 lb to test it, no bother delivered just what I wanted, James's advice was spot on.

I find I use it more and more on both still and running water. Sure I will add to this rod, perhaps the 11ft #2 or 12 ft #1 ?.

If you're looking for a new rod I can only say give Cadence a go, you will not be disappointed and the rods are great value compared to products two or three times the price.

Having used the CR13 #2 for well over a year now I can only state that my aging Normarks are now relegated to ' special occasions ' and I now own and most importantly use Cadence rods for the majority of my fishing trips, with others getting added in the very near future

All my rods are excellent in use, superbly finished and excellent value for money, pencil thin blanks, excellent balance and a superb action with hidden power when bonus fish are hooked, importantly the power bands indicated by the #1 - #3 are genuine and not a gimmick thus there's ar rod for almost every occasion at a price that won't break the bank
Quite honestly what more could you ask for

I first went to meet Cadence ambassador Alan Barnes on the river Ribble. I had a look at a couple of rods and Alan soon convinced me to give them a go.
So confident they sent one out for me to try out.....
"If you don't like it send it back"
Well I took it on the river, married it up with a pin and well two years later it's now my go to rod. I have had loads of float rods. The ones that make you smile are special. I love the no1's soft through action its the perfect rod for grayling and it lends itself so well for silvers "a bit of roach crumping on the Ribble" as Alan would say.
The no1 has got such a versatyle nature which allows a delicate approach for silvers on light hook lengths and also stepping up when you need to give it a bit in those snaggy chub swims. On many rivers I go walking feeding a few swims, some hold silvers and grayling others hold chub and barbel this is one rod that lends itself to all. It's light and very good value. I'm always carefull when recomending anything, but time and time again I have with this piece of kit. I always mention it of forums and when anglers are asking for the best float rod because I know its money week spent. I advised a few to get one and they also agree it's fantastic value and a pleasure to use. The new 12ft no1 next!

I've invested in a number of Cadence rods (both float and feeder) now and everyone of them is spot on and superb value for money. I've had good Chub and Barbel on the 14ft #3 float and the 15ft #s 1 & 2 give great control and action. The 14ft and 13ft #1s float rods are lovely to use for silvers but handle bonus fish just fine. For example I used the 13ft #1 before Xmas on a match and had 49lb of carp on the waggler for a win, which just goes to show how versatile it is.
Can't recommend Cadence rods enough, you won't be disappointed.

Brilliant.....having took delivery of 2 x 13 ft and 2 x 14 ft rods numbers 2 & 3 I was and I am still amazed by the quality and likeness to my Normarks. Great value for money with a super action depending on the type of fishing. The blank on the number 2 is thin and light. Such is the value the number 1 is a must in the 13 ft range. A Superb selection of rods.....

I invested in a 13ft Match #1 in August 2018 and, having used it on the lower Bristol Avon in a number of matches, it's one of the smartest moves I've ever made.

For a start, it's pencil thin - like a wand in the hand. It has an extremely fast tip action but has power in reserve should you hook a decent fish. But the real beauty is, with such a forgiving action, you hardly ever bump anything.

My go-to rod for roach and dace had always been my much-loved Normark Titan 2000 (c.1990 vintage). Trust me, I've tried quite a few rods in the meantime but, until now, I've never found anything that came close. So it obviously means a lot when you finally find a rod that surpasses a legendary rod as the Normark.

Suffice it to say, after only two outings with my new Cadence, I've since bought a 14ft #1, along with two CR8 reels (3000 models).

Honestly, all the kit is truly superb, I cant speak highly enough.
