About the Cadence CR10 14ft Match Rod #1
As technology has developed and rod building materials have become lighter, the popularity of 14ft float rods has soared and the Cadence range includes three models with the No1 being the lightest actioned. But whilst it has a forgiving fast taper tip action, there is still enough backbone for this rod to subdue bonus fish like barbel, chub or carp. Wonderfully balanced, the fact this is a best-seller tells you everything about its user-friendliness. Ideal for stick float , waggler and slider fishing.

About the Cadence CR10 14ft Match Rod #2
Perfectly balanced, a terrific fast action blank from tip to middle section and with hidden reserves of power, this is the perfect rod for targeting better sized fish whilst having enough forgiveness to handle smaller silver fish without any fear of bumping them off. Designed for more powerful rivers like the Severn and Wye, it also makes a great bagging rod on commercials and enables better line control and puts you in control of any bonus fish hooked. Another winner.

About Cadence CR10 Match Fishing Rods
Fishing has moved on so much from 20 years ago when a match angler would typically carry two 13 foot match rods; one for light line work and a more powerful rod for bigger fish and fishing at greater distances.
And the Cadence CR10 match range reflects the diversity of venues, approaches, species and styles of fishing we all use to get the most from our sport.
So whether you want a soft-actioned 11ft rod for canal waggler fishing, a soft-actioned 12 or 13ft rod for picking off silvers and F1s on winter commercials, a 13 foot power float rod for big carp or chub on tight streams and rivers, through to a 16ft three-piece float rod for targeting barbel and chub with strong line and strong hooklengths, we have it covered – and then some.
The Cadence team are all dedicated, committed anglers, passionate about bringing out rods with the correct actions and capabilities for their specific tasks.
All of our rods are fit for purpose – designed by anglers, for anglers.
With our performance for less strategy, Cadence offers superb rods at fantastic price points. The bottom line is that this means you can afford to buy a rod that may only be used four or five times a year for a specific purpose, without breaking the bank.

My go to, all around float fishing rod is the 14ft#2, which is great for small fish as well as expected larger fish.
I’d have no hesitation at all in recommending this as a brilliant rod for covering 90% of your float fishing needs.
However, the rod I’ve fell in love with is the 14ft#1!
It’s superb for catching silvers and can cope easily if you are lucky enough to hook that bonus fish in a session.
I’ve used it more and more as the weather has got colder, and I’ve had to fish finer, and I can honestly say it has never let me down once.
I’ve had chub to 4lb, barbel to 5lb, bream to 4lb and carp to 6lb all on this rod.
It is an absolutely fantastic piece of kit to play fish on and generally fish with, with excellent line pick up as well.
Fishing the waggler or stick, it’s a real gem!
So good, I own two of them, and for the money they’re an absolute steal!

My mate & I wanted a rod that would be as useful catching silvers and odd chub from the upper Witham or F1s and small carp from my club lakes during the winter. We talked about the pros’ and cons’ of the 14’#1 and the 14’#2 and both decided to buy the #1. I can honestly say it has performed superbly, whether with a stick on the Witham for roach and Chub (and odd brownie) or with the waggler on my club lakes for big F1s and odd carp to 5lb. We both agree that it is one of the best rods for the price that either of us has handled and would recommend it without hesitation.

Fabulous rod, was seriously tempted by the fabled ‘Acolyte’, but James sorted me out a stunning #2 14ft, easily handles tiny bleak and gudgeon, to taming mighty 5lb Chub on the middle Severn with such ease, i’m getting another, and so is my mate…

I find the 14#2 to be a brilliant all round float rod. A dabbled with the #1 but it offered more finesse than I needed.
I fish bigger rivers like the Trent mainly, so am fishing bigger floats, longer range and longer trots than I might, on say rivers like the Warks Avon. The #2 gives me the crisp line pickup I want, yet I just don’t seem to bump fish. Even those big, jagging winter roach stay on the hook. It also has plenty of backup power to lean into bigger fish with no hint of locking up.
When I do scale things down to delicate fishing the #2 still does a brilliant job.

Bought my 14’ #3 end of September unfortunately arrived broken (courier fault) was in touch straight away with photos they sent me a replacement the same day and arrived in perfect condition 2 days later which was very reassuring
Very pleased with my rod I use a centre pin and love it I only fish waggler and found it very responsive to silvers small and large

Bought the 14′ 2# the other week. Today was the first time I was able to get out and use it. So got to Swale and got my chest waders on and set of for a roving session with 3 pints of red maggots. Had set my self up with stick float, 4B.S line straight through on my pin.
First trot a small grayling followed a couple of dace around 8oz this carried on for 45 mins before the peg died, so got my gear together and slipped into another peg 100 yards down stream, carefully waded to mid river to ( on the cool side) feed a dozen maggots, third trot a nice 3lb chub followed by brownie and then a couple more chub.
What a lovely rod, this rod will be go to rod for the river. Preformed perfectly Wallis casting with pin.

I absolutely love my 14ft #3 for heavy duty float work for tench, barbel and mullet. I can hold it all day and yet it has the power to stop big strong fish in challenging situations. Best power float rod on the market in my view.

I recently purchased the 14ft #2 for general stickfloat and waggler fishing. The rod is amazing and is equally happy dealing with larger surprises amongst the bigger and stronger fish. Love it and wish I’d purchased one earlier.

I recently purchased a 14ft #2, I absolutely love the rod. Will cover most of the stickfloat and waggler needs I’m likely to require. Equally at home fishing for silvers and the bigger and stronger surprises that we encounter on our rivers and stillwaters.
I just wish I’d got hold of one earlier. Highly recommended ?

Bought a 14 FT No. 1 to fish a silvers only water and maybe a bit of river fishing. Stunning really. Sublime roach rod with a soft progressive action, a rod that will connect with delicated bites with the softest strike, it will punch a float out and pick up line so crisply, the middle and butt having a satisfying amount of power. This rod will not fold under suprise fish. Bought a new rod because my venerable ‘connoisseur’ had a tendency to ‘lock’ under pressure, these days fish being on average larger than times past. A speculative purchase has become a revelatory one. Times have certainly moved on. The fit and finish of this rod stand on a height with the ‘Con’ and that is a compliment. I am impressed with the endeveaor and care taken to gift this rod with the amount of rings to soften and refine the action, a full 16 Fuji guides gives a silk like caress on the strike and a smooth curve under pressure. The finish is faultless, I have been so impressed I bought a 12 foot No.2 plus two CS10 reels. This rod is balanced with the 4000 size to my taste. I have fished with this for a year now and owned many rods over forty years an angler, it is beautiful.

14ft#0 Been using this rod Since I got it in July this year, my go to float rod when fishing Small Wagglers and the Stick Float, superb rod for this type of work, and targeting snall fish, but will comfortably handle Bonus fish such as Chub to over 4lb, fantastic rod very light and very crisp

14ft #0 quite simply superb, James put me on to this rod a the recent Woodlands Thirsk open evening knowing of my long term love of Normark float rods !
This rod is as close as I’ve ever used to the action of the original Microlight 14ft rod ( RNMM-168-3 ) with a modern day twist using screw down reel seats Fuji ring guides and a bit grunt in the bottom end, this rod would have excelled back in the day and it will hold its own today it’s absolutely stunning
