A lot of feeder only matches are won in summer by exploiting what are know as short lines, that’s to say a short cast to say thirty metres and additionally a spot over what would ordinarily be the long pole line, say 11-15 metres out, later in the match. Steve uses the new CR10 11ft #1 feeder rod to good effect, showing how its softer action is ideal in such a scenario.
